Anonymous asked: I meant I didn't think Simon and Martina were that intelligent, sorry for the confusion. Gah you misunderstood. i'm sorry.

OH, I see! Sorry, I was a bit aggressive there.

I don’t really want to weigh in on their intelligence levels, as I don’t know them personally. I was never a huge follower of their videos; I’ve seen a few but it never really hooked me; that said, I didn’t have a problem with them. I figured it was something that a lot of K-Pop fans enjoyed that wasn’t my cup of tea, but whatever.

What did bother me was their response to Briana’s criticism of their Troublemaker video. They dissected her post without actually responding to any of the criticism. If they had taken the time to read what she (and many other K-pop fans were saying) and had actively thought about it and said something about how “Oh, we see what you mean, that’s an excellent point,” or “Oh, I see where you’re coming from, but I disagree because x, y, and z”, that would have been different.

The way they handled it was really off-putting to me personally; if you say something that people find problematic and they take the time to share that, why wouldn’t you at least take the time to examine why they are offended? You might not agree with them in the end, but at least you examined the issue from a different angle/perspective.

Also, liking threats against your critics? Mature.
