Anonymous asked: Like the posts said Simon and Martina come from a privileged, white, middle class background. I don't need to be Korean to see that say things wrong about Korea already. The thing that bugs me that most if the rating of English. Grammar, I would understand a but but pronunciation, is a harsh, since they have a heavy accent when they speak Korean. Has anyone bother to point that out to them?
Yeah, I’m very uncomfortable with the way they criticize non-native speakers English pronunciation. Learning new languages is hard, and pronunciation is one of the hardest parts of that. Chances are if you learn a second (or third, fourth, etc.) language beyond your childhood years, you’ll always speak with an accent. And that’s okay!
I don’t know if anyone has pointed that out to them, I’m sure someone has but they probably ignore it.

I used to have a really heavy accent when speaking English and people used to pick on me so bad. That’s why when I saw the English rating on their videos I immediately did not like them. Do you know how hard and nerve-wrecking it is knowing you speak broken English, trying to properly convey your thought in a clear and concise sentences when motherfuckers are judging you? Like- what?!
Simon and Martina BLATANTLY disrespect the Korean language by dismissing it and making it fun of it. I think that’s beyond fuck up.
