It’s not that B.A.P did anything wrong mind you, I think it was more of they said something that in their minds means “We really love and appreciate black people and culture”, but it raises problems and in that same vein a lot of you kpops fans say “I wish I was Korean.”
These statements undermine and fetishize an entire group of people.
I hope this clears that up. I wasn’t calling BAP out per say- I was more bringing the discussion of how these statements romanticize and fetishize people.
I hope this makes sense.
